Pianist, conductor and composer. born in Lod (Lydia), Israel in 1985.

1992 – 2003  - Classical piano studies at the Israel Consevatory of Music, Tel Aviv, under the guidance of Ms. Malka Mevorach.

1998 – 2003 -  Composition and Improvisation studies under the guidance of Prof. Ronen Shapira.

2002 – Awarded First Prize and Scholarship for excellence in performance, at the Israel Conservatory of music, Tel Aviv. 

Soon after composes his first piece "Concerto for piano and orchestra", which is performed with  the Conservatory Youth Orchestra a year later (2003), 

2004 –Studies at the Jerusalem Academy for Music and Dance in Prof. Zkharia Plavin's piano class.

2005 and 2006 –  Winner of First prize at the "Rome For Jerusalem" piano competition.

2007 –  Wins the "Excelent Musician Award", of the Jerusalem Academy for Music and Dance. 

2007 – Special Music Award, for performing "Gaspard de la nuit" by Ravel, at the Tel - Hai International Master Class in Israel.

2009 – Participates in piano master classes, in Vienna, under the guidance of Prof. Wolfgang Wizinger and wins the prize for the "Best Schubert performance", playing the op.42 Sonata.

2012 – Build an ensemble of 9 players that combines eastern and western instruments. 

2012 – 2017 conducting and playing with ABAAD Ensemble.

2014- founded "Harmonika", an association for promoting music in peripheral communities. The association also nurtures and produces musical performances for musicians who have completed institutions of higher learning in music.

2010  – 2018 Conducts over 10 orchestras all over the country, including children's orchestras and adult orchestras.

2016 – start teaching in Kiryat Ono college music history, arrangements, composition and leading ensembles. 

2016 – start studying the 3rd degree composition at Bar Ilan University.

2016 - An editor produces and broadcasts the program "Alhan" on the radio "Kan Tarbut" twice a week.

2017 – Start teaching in Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance singing lessons and leading ensembles.

2017 - Conductor and Artistic Director of the Arab-Jewish Orchestra.

2017 - Conductor and Artistic Director of the YMCA choir in Jerusalem.

2015 conducting  three young orchestras in Jaffa, Tel sheva and Hura, and five more orchestras in Lod.

 

Nizar Elkhater performed over the years, in important and exclusive concert venues and festivals in Italy, Spain, Croatia, Lithuania, Germany, England, Cyprus, Vienna and more. Wrote arrangements for the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra. Played as soloist with Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, London Symphonic Orchestra, Ramat Gan, Netanya, Tarshiha Symphony Orchestras, and ABAAD chamber orchestra.
